A psychological drama set in a therapy community, where eleven people are trying to break free of their past. Most of them would prefer to forget it - they lied, stole, deceived and thought only of themselves, and one of them also killed.
Currently, no one knows who, but truth will out. The film is not about convicts - the protagonists are all voluntarily in therapy, and can leave. To have a better future, they have to face up to the past. But can you live without lying if you want other people to think the best of you?

Vaclav Hrubes (Jan Buař) and Josef Mares (Richard Krajčo) are friends. They spent most of their time spitting from the 17th floor of their tower-block building, planning how to become famous film makers, and longing for love. The life in their masculine household is a little dull and tedious.
They have no money, they are neither too smart nor too handsome. Hrubes works as a ticket inspector, Mares has no job at all. Instead he is a prominent member of the fun club of the Czech pop star Hana Zagorova and tries to lose weight each month with a different method. Both intensely long for love, women and nice job. When his despotic father kicks Hrubes out of his home, his mother is on the brink of a nervous breakdown and Mares´s grandmother dies, our two guys start to live together. Life in their bachelor household is somewhat dull. Suddenly the film director Karpatti turns up from Slovakia. After the flop of his movie The Opening of a Non-Existing Supermarket he cannot even show in Bratislava and so he is ready to offer his bold projects abroad. And Hrubes and Mares are exactly what he is looking for...

A comedy where anything can happen when it's for the first time. In spite of its title, you won't be bored....

Synopsis
Two young and backward people Standa and Olinka meet at an athletics championship. Because they don't live in the same town they write each other every day. After a year of letters, Olinka writes: Standa, come this Saturday for dinner, and you can sleep over if you'd like to. They invest great hope into the upcoming meeting, and the chance of spending the night together greatly excites our two heroes. That's because it's the first time for both of them. A number of friends and relatives advise them how to go about it, and stories of other couples longing for love and sex start to unfold. Brother Jarda teaches Standa to put on a condom and together they investigate an anatomy book. Female neighbors in her apartment building offer Olinka advice each, of course, according to her own experience. Everything is going according to plan until Olinka's mother unexpectedly returns home. Olinka handles the situation in an original way and, despite all obstacles, achieves her desired goal in the end....

This comedy, full of tasteful wit about sex and erotica, is not only about how women and men love. Above all else, it is a touching tale of the desire for love.... -- © Czech Television

biography
Jan Budar started his career in Brno's theatres under the tutelage of Vladimír Morávek, one of the most acclaimed Czech theatre directors. This fruitful co-operation culminated in their first film BORED IN BRNO (2002), which marked not only Jan's acting debut in film, but also his roles as coauthor and music composer. The comedy was awarded five Czech Lions in 2003, including "Best Male Actor" for Jan.
This success led to roles in such films as Marek Najbrt's debut CHAMPIONS (2004), for which Jan won the Czech Lion as "Best Actor in a Supporting Role", as well as in Jan Hrebejk's UP AND DOWN (2004), the Czech entry for the 2005 Academy Awards, and multiple winner of the Czech Lion Awards.
In 2005, Morávek and Jan collaborated on their second film together, HRUBEŠ AND MAREŠ ARE BEST FRIENDS - COME RAIN, COME SHINE. In 2006, Jan worked on a film by Milan Cieslar alongside Tatiana Vilhelmová, Czech Shooting Star in 2003.
